Country Music Half Marathon
Tomorrow is the big day and I am a bit nervous. Last night I watched this preview video of the route and it looks like a lot of hills. I know that I can easily run 8.5 miles {my longest training run was 10 miles about 2 weeks ago}. I also have no shame in walking, I just hope that my training pays off and I can complete the course.

Looks like miles 2-5 are a little uphill, nothing drastic just constant. The really nice part is how tree lined that section is so it looks like it will be shady. Then from 5-13.1 is downhill. Yes, a rolling downhill, but downhill. And that last half-mile as you come across and down the bridge, holy awesome you are going to crush that. Looks like a great course and you have trained for this. You can do this, and even if your nervous in your mind you body knows you can do this.
ReplyDeleteI just picked up my packet with number and t-shirt from the convention center downtown. Pretty exciting :) Thank you for the encouragement Luke... I think I just have last minute jitters.
