This week’s Wednesday hike took us to Big Soddy Gulf. I’m not sure how it happened, but summer time is almost over and this is our first time to make it to this swimming hole this summer! It was a short hike — 0.5 miles round trip, but it was our 42nd hike for the year (42/52) bringing us to to 124 miles on the trails in 2021!

Family Date: Signal Mountain Playhouse
Family date night to the Signal Mountain Playhouse. It’s a
local outdoor theater that puts on a great production every summer.
We’ve missed the last few, but managed to go see Bye Bye Birdie tonight.
It was a little more mature than what we would normally take the boys
to, but the cast did a great job. Isaac fell asleep in my lap right
after intermission. Shout out to Daniel for sitting through a musical,
I’m pretty
sure this is his least favorite activity, but he was a
trooper.

Hiking Friends Pool Party
In
lieu of our weekly hike, we opted to enjoy one of our hiking friend’s
pools. So thankful for beautiful, sunny afternoons, and friends to spend
the day with.

Aquarium Day
We met up with our original field trip
friends — we’ve been doing fun stuff together for seven years now! I think the most memorable part of the day was the Isaac decided to do a cold water challenge. Int penguin area he stuck his hand in freezing water and held it there for something like 300 seconds. I finally had to tell him to stop. He's officially the reigning champion! Rainy
summer days are perfect for a visit to the Chattanooga Aquarium and get ice
cream afterward! I am so thankful for good friends and fun places to visit
locally.
