In our household, if you get up early and finish your school work, you might get rewarded with the opportunity to hike with friends.
Some of our CC homeschool friends were on break from co-op today, so they drove up to our house to do a short hike with us this morning. This meant we wrapped up our book work by 10:30am!
Green Gorge is a little gem of a trail within walking distance of our house. We love this short jaunt in the woods, and it is always a bonus in our books if we can share time on the trail with others.
We like to walk the southern loop with the swinging bridge for a total of 1.5 miles round trip from our front door.
After our walk we hung out at our house. The moms hung out around the campfire while
the kids played in our yard — we have lots of big rocks to climb on and
explore. We finished up with sack lunches and some time on the merry-go-round at the playground that is across the street from us.
This hike marked our 5th hike of 2021. Hiked 1.5 miles (14 miles YTD). 5/52 hikes for the year.
